Fragments and Curiosities

jr_lavoie Good stuff - often, an artist's demos capture an intimate mood that isn't replicated on subsequent studio recordings, so it can be great to hear these versions. No Time To Waste is downright fantastic! I'd love to hear a clearer studio version, but again, this version has the mood. Break It In Two (Acoustic) is just as good, again a more intimate mood from the (also fabulous) studio version on the next album. Favorite track: No Time To Waste.

Armstrong is one of those mysterious and elusive bands that stays well beneath the surface, but anyone willing to dive a bit deeper is richly rewarded with pearls of great value. The new Armstrong album is eagerly anticipated and a welcome return.
